Food Waste as a Disease of Our Times

This bachelor thesis consists of two parts. The practical part is a document called Food Waste as a Disease of Our Times, which maps this problem mainly in the Czech but also in the international context. It presents this social issue in a broader context and offers different insights into food waste. The documentary features experts on the issue, i.e. university professors, the founder of a non-profit organisation, a sociologist and a head of a food bank. Part of the film also focuses on activists who cook for the homeless or do dumpster diving. The film also includes representatives of supermarkets and their approach to food waste. The theoretical part deals with the description and definition of the film documentary. It introduces the different steps in the making of a documentary, from preparation, to production, to post-production. It also describes the specificities of the television documentary. The next part of the theoretical part presents a research on the topic and illustrates the issue of food waste with statistics and expert studies. The last part is a description and reflection of the production itself.

Audiovisual Productions and Copyright - Summary The topic of this thesis are audiovisual productions in relation to copyright law and selected legal relations, which can take place during audiovisual productions. These legal relations are important mainly from the perspective of copyright law, but also overlaps into neighboring branches of law are mentioned, with regard to the civil code recodification. The first chapter is focused on defining key concepts. Firstly, there is defined the concept of audiovisual production as a type of business and the legal conditions for its performing. The concept of audiovisual work in the context of copyright law is defined next. The characteristic attributes of audiovisual work are defined and the specific conception of authorship is considered, followed by traditional division of audiovisual works and its perception through certain public-law norms. With regard to the specifics of audiovisual works, the character of works audiovisually used is also mentioned. In the end of the first chapter the term producer is defined, his relation to the author of audiovisual work and specific rights, to which is entitled by the copyright code. The implementation of rating of the audivisual products by suatibility for age groups in the Czech republic

The diploma thesis "The Implementation of rating of the audio-visual products by suitability for age groups in the Czech Republic" deals with issues of classification of audio- visual products in Czech medial space. At first, text analyses, what the audio-visual media product is, and what are the legal, psychological and economic arguments for its implementation. The history and current status of labelling in the Czech Republic is also described in this part. Included is also a description of the labelling status in other selected countries, namely United States of America and several countries of European Union. Next part of thesis deals with the Dutch labelling system Kijkwijzer, as it was recommended by experts as an example for future implementation of classification system in our country. It's labelling process and categories are described as well as reasons for why this system was chosen. Diploma thesis also describes the effort to implement this system in Czech Republic by the Audio-visual Department at the Ministry of Culture, and tries to find out why it hasn't been implemented yet. Analysis of project management in the creation of audiovisual works

The aim of this work is to analyze the project management approach to the creation of an audiovisual work. To characterize the different phases of the project, define the principles of management and process control. Outlined the process and the steps that must undergo the creation of an audiovisual work. The other half of the work deals with the actual film and the process of creation. It analyzes the phases and is characterized by the outputs necessary for the creation of the work. Finally, a comparison of the process of creating two student films and their different approach to policy.
Economic Aspects of Film and Video Production

The paper is focused on economic aspects of film production. It can be used as a source of knowledge about film financing and understanding where money for realization of movies are taken. The description of grants together with institutions which these money donate and conditions under which the donation can be implemented are also part of this paper. Basically all the production requirements and principles are covered throughout the whole paper. For easier way of understanding the whole topic the text also presents each step of preparation, realization and also postproduction of projects in general. Methods for project management applied on the specific one which is a film in this case are also submitted. To complete the whole theme the laws influencing the author rights are mentioned as well.
